Remote sensing, science programming, and data visualization
It is an archive of selected work mostly related to my time at the Laboratory for Applications of Remote Sensing in Ecology (LARSE) at Oregon State University, and a canvas for my forays into development of web applications to convey data interactively.
I just recently began working as a database and data visualization specialist for Geosyntec Consultants. Previously, I was a faculty research assistant at LARSE. The theme of my work is to make data easier to use, interpret, and share. In a nutshell, I manage and organize tabular and spatial data, analyze it, and make figures. Whenever possible I like to use the R language and environment to perform these tasks.
Outside of tinkering with code, I like playing guitar, trout fishing, and adventures.
